Ever since I outgrew picture books and silly beginner chapter books, I was rather indifferent to books and reading. Sure, I read them occasionally for an English quiz or pretended to flip through textbooks to seem like I was smart in school, but if given a choice, I would definitely choose to do something else. Sure, the discovery of online books and PDFs during the pandemic piqued my interest for a split second, but the excitement often never lasted past downloading a file and opening it once or twice. It wasn’t until recently when my friend re-introduced me to the usefulness of physical books that I developed a renewed interest in reading and books.
